Mercer Island kindergarten registration meeting Jan. 23

The Mercer Island School District will hold a kindergarten orientation meeting for parents on Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. at Island Park Elementary’s multipurpose room.

The meeting is open to parents whose children will reach the age of 5 by Aug. 31, 2012. Information will be provided by district staff regarding the process of registration, school assignment and readiness for kindergarten.

Registration will be held from Jan. 24 through Feb. 17 at all three elementary schools.

Prospective elementary parents can visit the elementary schools on Jan. 13 and March 23 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at any of the three schools.
