Eye on MI | Pie contest winners

Miranda Johnson, 13, and her mother, Tanya Bednarski, won first place in the pie competition with their Summer Harvest Berry Pie at the first Pie and Dessert Contest on Sunday, July 8.

Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Advisory Board partnered with the Mercer Island Farmers Market to hold the contest.

2^nd Place: Raspberry Cream Pie – Ellena Jones

DESSERT:
1^st Place: Nectarine, Blueberry and Strawberry Galette with Macadamia and Oat Crumble – Cynthia Shifrin
2^nd Place: Raspberry Peach Crumble – Kindred McQueen

PEOPLE’S CHOICE:
1^st Place: Raspberry Filled Devil’s Food Cupcakes Carina Williamson
