Three Mercer Island students took part in Spokane’s Hoopfest, finishing fifth in their bracket.
The Islander team, known as Little Chicks, will be going into the sixth grade in the fall.
The team includes Tori Wheeler, Jackie Stenberg and Emily Arron.
