Mercer Island fourth grade select team wins tournament | Sports brief

The Mercer Island girls select fourth grade basketball team recently won the season ending tournament for the Cascade League.

The girls competed in the Gold bracket in the tournament, eventually beating the No. 1 seed EBC team for the championship. The final score was 23-20, after Annabelle Gersch hit a last minute three-point shot to give Mercer Island the win.

The team includes: Audrey Nordstrom, Niteeka Narayan, Charlise Barokas, Renee White, Annabel Gersch, Giselle Johnson and Molly Moffitt. The team was coached by Leo Asuan.
