The Mercer Island girls tennis team beat Sammamish with a perfect score on Tuesday, March 26, the Islanders last meet before spring break. The final score was Mercer Island 7-0.

In the single competition, Nora Tan beat Ella Kuzmenko 6-0, 6-0, while Carisa Ham beat Tina Liu 6-0, 6-1. Catherine Seifert beat Min Yang 6-2, 6-0 and Julia Glick beat Ha Nguyen 6-4, 7-6 (8-6).

In the doubles competition, twins Lydia and Gabby Venditti beat Sarah Baker and Demri Horton 6-1, 6-0, while Miji Suhr and Ashley Larson beat Maha Ghandour and Sarah Devin 6-0, 6-2. Sarah Sweet and Lark Reusch beat Aubrey Dolittle and Yvonne Chang 6-1, 6-0.

The tennis team will be back in action after spring break on Wednesday, April 10 at Bellarmine Prep at 3:30 p.m.
