September 23

Theft: A 42-year-old woman reported a burglary at her home at the 8500 block of S.E. 44th Place. The suspect entered through an unsecured kitchen window, cut the screen and stole assorted items of jewelry valued at $5,000. Police found fingerprints at the scene and entered them into evidence.

September 26

Collision: A 52-year-old male was driving and collided with a tree at the 4400 block of West Mercer Way. He stated that the road was slick and he didn’t know exactly how he drove off the road. He was not injured, and his car was towed.

Informational report: An 84-year-old male was found unconscious behind the Monaco Villa apartments by the dumpster. MIFD began CPR and transported him to Overlake. Overlake staff stated that it might have been a brain bleed, a report said.

September 27

Burglary: A 43-year-old male reported that his car was stolen from his open garage at the 8600 block of S.E. 78th Street. His other vehicle was prowled. A Mac Air laptop, which was in the backseat of the stolen vehicle, was also reported stolen.

Prowling: Two unlocked vehicles were prowled overnight in the driveway of a residence at the 7600 block of 85th Place S.E. A youth football helmet and shoulder pads were taken.

September 28

Collision: A 16-year-old male drove into a dividing median in the QFC parking lot on S.E. 68th Street, damaging the curb and some small plants and shrubbery. The vehicle suffered enough damage that it wasn’t drivable and had to be towed from the scene.

Collision: A 22-year-old male riding a motorcycle struck a decorative boulder at the 4200 block of East Mercer Way after losing control of his vehicle, running off the road and sliding 183 feet. He injured his right hand. He was cited for driving recklessly, as police found that his tires were bald, his bike did not have headlights and he had been exceeding the posted speed limit of 25 mph.

September 29

Traffic offense: Police stopped a 42-year-old woman on the corner of 78th Avenue S.E. and S.E. 29th Street for a traffic violation. The woman’s license plates were issued out of Idaho for a different vehicle. The plates were seized and turned in for destruction.
