Mercer Island grapplers conquer Interlake on senior night

The Mercer Island Islanders wrestling team earned a 44-24 victory in a dual match against the Interlake Saints on senior night on Jan. 17 at Mercer Island High School.

Mercer Island wrestlers capturing victories via pins included Jack Harper (160), Andrew Motz (138), Connor Pettigrew (126) and Donnie Howard (220). Mercer Island senior Eli Pruchno (152) won by technical fall. Mercer Island 132-pound wrestler Jordan Tillinger won by decision. Islanders grapplers winning by forfeit were Connor Hill (182) and Owen Baebler (195).
