Elementary School wrestlers bring home medals

Northwood Elementary School students showed off their wrestling skills at the 2019 WSWA Folkstyle state tournament on Feb. 17 at the Tacoma Dome. Fourth-grader Alex Chapman earned second place in the 74-pound weight division. Arabella Chapman, who is in the second grade, captured first place in the girls 53-59 pound weight class. Kindergarten student Briak Chapman registered an eighth-place finish in the 43-pound weight class.

The trio will represent Washington state at the Reno World Championships from April 5-7.
