Islanders’ quartet finishes in first place in 1600 relay

The Mercer Island Islanders 1600 relay team consisting of Maggie Baker, Maya Virdell, Gretchen Blohm and Ashley Rudd captured first place in the 1600 relay with a time of 4:07.67 at the 2019 3A KingCo championships, which took place from May 8-10 at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland. Lake Washington finished in second place in the 1600 relay with a time of 4:18.32.
