The Mercer Island girls swim and dive team finished third at the Sea-King district championships on Nov. 9 at Mary Wayte Pool. The team was set to compete at the 3A swimming and diving state meet on Nov. 15-16 in Federal Way, after the Reporter’s deadline.

Brooke Andrews placed first in diving, followed by teammate Sophia McGuffin who placed third. The Islanders relay team of Katie Williamson, Grace Olsen, Mira Tang and Ellie Bailey placed third in the 200 medley relay. Cayla Prophater placed second in the 500 free and third in the 200 free.
