The Mercer Island gymnastics team took second in a meet with Lake Washington on Jan. 9. Sophomore Rachel Ressmeyer placed first on bars (9.6) and tied for first on the floor exercise (9.75). Junior Ava Motroni finished third on both beam (9.2) and floor (9.6).

Mercer Island will be back on the competition floor for an away meet on Jan. 16 at Liberty High School.
