‘MasterChef Junior’ contestant, Seattle Times columnist to give talk, cooking demonstration

Fourteen-year-old “MasterChef Junior” contestant and Seattle native Sadie Davis-Suskind will participate in a talk and cooking demonstration over Zoom July 23 at 7 p.m.

The program is part of the Stroum Jewish Community Center’s (SJCC) Zoom interview series.

During the talk, Davis-Suskind will discuss her experiences on “MasterChef Junior” and what draws her to French-style, organic cooking with a Jewish flair, according to the SJCC website.

Davis-Suskind will be accompanied by her mother, Rebecca, during the conversation.

For the subsequent cooking demonstration, Davis-Suskind will be making a Jewish comfort-food dish.

Born and raised in Seattle, Davis-Suskind has been cooking since she was a child. In 2019, she was chosen as one of 24 contestants to compete on Gordon Ramsay’s “MasterChef Junior” show. She made it to the semi-finals.

After her stint on the show, Davis-Suskind, who attends Jane Addams Middle School, became a food columnist for the Seattle Times.
