Recoating and pavement-marking project on tap

Sound Transit’s contractor was scheduled to begin recoating and pavement-marking work on the Mercer Island Park and Ride upper deck as early as Sept. 21. They will also restripe the parking stalls on the approximately 26,000-square-foot top deck.
The estimated six-week project was initially set to start on Sept. 14, but was delayed by air-quality and weather issues.
During the project — set to occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday — parking will still be available in portions of the top deck and in the lower deck.
