The vital message of “Community, Connection, Compassion” will be in the air again when the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services (MIYFS) Foundation presents its 22nd annual fundraising breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 7 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center.

Event registration is open at: https://miyfs.org/2024-annual-breakfast-registration/#gf_7. Last year, the foundation raised around $400,000 at the event.

The MIYFS Foundation, which has developed its Back-to-School, Holiday Giving and NIGH: No Islander Goes Hungry initiatives in the community, tirelessly fundraises for critical services on the Island and also aims to educate residents about those city services, according to its website.

For more than 50 years, MIYFS has been a comprehensive support services organization providing assistance to the Mercer Island community, and the city department works in partnership with the Mercer Island School District, the website adds.
