Mercer Island High School Principal Nick Wold and Athletic Director Lindsey Blaine celebrate with students during the Oct. 5 Homecoming football game at Islander Stadium on being named a T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights program $5K winner. The Islanders beat Newport, 31-10. Islander fans lent overwhelming support and school spirit to get the T-Mobile win. Local T-Mobile representative Jay Lee and staff members presented a $5,000 check to Blaine at halftime. The school’s next goal is to be named a top 16 finalist.
