June 3

Theft: A subject was arrested for stealing approximately $12 worth of cookies and ice cream from a store in the 2700 block of 77th Avenue Southeast and transported to the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail in Des Moines.

Vehicle prowl: A resident in the 2500 block of 81st Avenue Southeast reported that someone stole a collapsible cart and a duffel bag containing four baseball mitts from the back seat of their vehicle sometime between May 28-30.

June 4

Theft: Police contacted a resident in the 1600 block of Roanoke Way who possessed a neighbor’s package. The subject was cited and released.

Warrant arrest: Redmond Police Department officers contacted, arrested and booked a Mercer Island Municipal Court misdemeanor warrant subject into SCORE jail for lewd conduct. Mercer Island Police Department had no contact with the subject.

Property damage: In the 7700 block of Southeast 58th Street, a park visitor observed damage to a picnic table and the words “Senior Sunset 2026” graffitied on the dock. The parks director and school resource officer were notified. The case is still under investigation.

June 5

Warrant arrest: In the 7700 block of Southeast 27th Street, a misdemeanor warrant subject voluntarily gave their name to police and was booked for theft into the SCORE jail.

June 9

Forgery: A resident in the 7700 block of Island Crest Way reported that someone opened a Verizon account under the resident’s name. There was no monetary loss and unknown suspect information.
