Robert A. Jensen

Robert, 88, passed peacefully on

May 15 after a full life centered on

family, friends and work. Raised in

the NW, Bob attended Whitman

College where he met life partner,

Rhoda. He also studied at Columbia

and Suffolk Universities before

entering private patent and trade-

mark law practice. Quick to laugh,

Bob was known for his honesty,

humility, compassion and sharp wit.

Married for 56 years, Rhoda and

Bob raised their children on Mercer

Island while encouraging their

education and outdoor adventures.

Committed to volunteer service,

Bob worked with school PTAs, local

and regional school boards, and

scouting. He loved reading, the out-

doors and spending time with his

kids (Eric, Kirsten, Peter), their

spouses/partners (Renée, Gregg,

Courtney) and grandkids (Sophie,

Davin, Jens). He is survived by his

sister-in-law (Cass) as well as

nieces and a nephew.

Private memorial services are

planned. Donations to the Rhoda

Daly Jensen scholarship fund at

Whitman College or the Arbor Day

Foundation are appreciated.
