June 15
Fraud: A resident in the 3000 block of 88th Avenue Southeast lost $1,000 due to a series of unauthorized “Amazon Digital” charges between January and June of this year. The case is still under investigation and there is no suspect information.
June 17
Suspected drugs located: A resident in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street located suspected drugs on the ground. Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD) took the substances and submitted them for destruction.
Theft and arrest: MIPD arrested a female subject for stealing a package from the mailroom of The Hadley apartments in the 2600 block of 76th Avenue Southeast. She was booked into Issaquah Jail.
Theft: A subject stole approximately $15 worth of drinks from the Metropolitan Market in the 2700 block of 77th Avenue Southeast. The subject was not located during an area check.
June 18
Missing ring: A resident in the 5000 block of West Mercer Way reported that his ring — worth about $28,000 — was missing for insurance purposes. There is no suspect information.
June 19
Theft: A resident in the 9000 block of East Shorewood Drive reported that an unknown suspect stole the rear license plate off the resident’s vehicle.
June 20
DUI: Police arrested a 19-year-old female for driving under the influence in the 2400 block of 72nd Avenue Southeast. The subject was released to her parents.
DUI: At East Mercer Way and Southeast 54th Street, police arrested a juvenile for driving under the influence following a singular vehicle collision. The subject was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
