Fun in the sun at Summer Celebration

The city of Mercer Island hosted its Summer Celebration on July 11 with foamy fun and more at Mercerdale Park, a lively downtown parade, music, fireworks at Luther Burbank Park and more. Activities at Mercerdale included The Pioneer Squares Band, a circus and kids zone, bubble stations, mini golf, Youth Theatre Northwest and Brian Ledbetter the magician. The Mercerdale event also featured touch-a-trucks, community booths, art vendors and food trucks on adjacent streets. There were several evening activities at Luther Burbank with the Copastetic Band, stilt walkers, food trucks and the thunderous fireworks show. Andy Nystrom/ staff photos
