Weapon found: In the 2500 block of 80th Avenue Southeast, someone found a Byrna LE projectile self-defense weapon in a backpack.

July 22

Driver arrested: Following a traffic stop for a license plate violation in the 7000 block of North Mercer Way, the driver was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS 3) and booked into Issaquah City Jail.

July 23

Warrant arrest: A Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD) warrant subject was re-booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail in Des Moines for DWLS 3.

July 25

Obstructing arrest: In the 4200 block of Holly Lane, a subject was detained for possible mail theft and then arrested for obstructing a law enforcement officer.

July 27

Stolen tools: Prowlers unlawfully entered a pair of vehicles in the 3700 block of 77th Place Southeast and stole approximately $2,500 in tools from one vehicle and $50 in tools from a second vehicle. There was no damage to either vehicle, no suspect information and no surveillance footage.

Fraud: A resident in the 2400 block of 71st Avenue Southeast was defrauded of $2,700 in Target gift cards by an individual claiming to be a MIPD sergeant.

Warrant arrest: A suspect who was cited for masturbating at the park and ride on June 20 was re-booked into SCORE on a MIPD warrant for lewd act and unlawful transit conduct.

Shoplifting: A subject who stole $44.09 in toothpaste from a store in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street was cited, released and transported to the hospital for medical issues.
