Members of the Mercer Island Definitive Dance junior dance team recently competed at the Starpower Competition. The team finished first in its category: tap.
Members of the Mercer Island Definitive Dance junior dance team recently competed at the Starpower Competition. The team finished first in its category: tap.

The Definitive Dance junior dance team on Mercer Island won awards at the Starpower Competition at the Highline Performing Arts Center. The team won first place for their category in Tap for Blue Suit Boogie.

The Junior Dance Team includes: team members Taleah Levin, Kailee Yan, Maddie Moran, Madeline Gile, Lily Gile, Sarah Salisbury, Carly Bernstein, Emma Gottlieb, Beni Gottesman, Bito Gottesman and Caroline Young.

Madeline Gile also won first place for her solo, and the team also scored well for its Small Group Jazz number.
