The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

July 17

THEFT: A purse was reported stolen from the service room inside Mary Queen of Peace church.

July 18

BURGLARY ATTEMPT: Two unknown males attempted to break into a residence at the 3500 block of 264 Ave SE while two juvenile children were home alone. The male subjects left in a vehicle before police arrived and did not enter the home.

VANDALISM: A blue Toyota Prius was keyed on the passenger side near the 24000 block of SE 37 Place. Police reported the damage to be under $1500.

July 19

BURGLARY: A yellow Elie Strait 120XE Kayak was stolen near the 3400 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE.

VEHICLE LICENSE VIOLATIONS: A subject switched plates onto an unlicensed vehicle and was stopped for traffic. The subject was subsequently arrested on a DUI warrant and charged via investigation for the license violation.

BURGLARY: A man entered a Public Storage building complex at the 23000 block of NE 8th Street, using bolt cutters to cut the fence and the lock to a travel trailer, taking tools.

IDENTITY THEFT: A resident reported their identity had been compromised with an opened Discover account.

July 21

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE: Two 14-year-old girls snuck to a friend’s house near the 1900 block of 206 Place NE to “get drunk and pass out.” All were underage. Parents found them the next morning.

THEFT: A longboard was taken from an open area of the football field at Pine Lake Middle School.

July 22

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE: A resident was arrested during a traffic stop near the 2400 block of Issaquah-Fall City Road for driving with a suspended license.

July 23

CAR PROWL: A resident reported stolen items from their unlocked vehicle at the 5300 block of 190 Place NE.

VANDALISM: The plastic covering over a resident’s front passenger car window from prior damage was ripped open. No items were taken from the vehicle, which was near the 3800 block of Klahanie Drive SE.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: An 89-year-old female passed away at her home at the 1600 block of 223 Ave SE.

July 24

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A driver’s side window was smashed out of a vehicle parked on Klahanie Drive SE near the Summerwalk Apartments.

THEFT: A sterndrive was stolen from a boat near the 800 block of 197 Avenue SE.

FOUND PROPERTY: A cell phone was found in East Sammamish Park and turned in to the police department.
