Lisa’s little tykes

Lisa Given has won the Mercer Island Preschool Association’s 2009 Exceptional Educator of the Year Award. Given has run a licensed daycare, Lisa’s Little School, on the Island for over 20 years. The Islander expressed gratitude and joy at learning of the award. “I am so grateful to all my families for allowing me the privilege of being a part of theirs,” she said. “The kids are all so wonderful, and for as much as I have taught the kids, I have learned that they have a lot to teach and share with us.” Pictured are: from left, Brian Murdoch, Alexane Dumont, Nicholas Fuchs, Davis Johnson, Will Watson, Hudson Evernden, Carver Richards, and Anna Wong with Penny the dog.
