Islanders football players earn accolades for stellar 2018 season

A plethora of Mercer Island Islanders football players earned 2A/3A KingCo all-league awards for their play on the gridiron during the 2018 season.

Mercer Island football players capturing first-team, all-league nominations consisted of Hunter Johnson (wide receiver), Mark Mangino (defensive end) and Grand Stading (cornerback). Islanders athletes earning second-team, all-league honors included Ben Gross (offensive tackle) Jack Clayville (running back), Tynan Drayton (defensive end), Will Mulfur (outside linebacker) and Cole Miller (safety, kick returner). Players who earned honorable-mention awards were Owen Baebler, Isask Solberg, Kyle Stokes and Bryce Fitzwilson.
