Islanders golf team earns third place at districts

The Mercer Island Islanders girls golf team captured third place as a team at the 2019 3A Sea-King girls district golf tournament on May 13. The third place finish ensured the Islanders varsity golf team a berth at the Class 3A state tournament. The Mercer Island Islanders girls golf team captured third place at the 2019 3A Sea-King girls district golf tournament on May 14 at Riverbend Golf Course in Kent. The Islanders, who finished with a total of 326 team points, finished just 19 points behind first place Interlake. Islanders’ golfer Gihoe Seo earned second place individually at the tournament, tallying 70 strokes.
