Nancy L. Schlager | Obituary

Nancy L. Schläger, long time resident of Mercer Island, WA passed away on Saturday, May 7th, of natural causes.

She was born June 3, 1930, in Port Angeles, WA to James J. and Gladys Gallacci. She grew up in Port Angeles, graduated from Roosevelt High School, class of ‘49.

Nancy and husband, Franklin W. Schläger, married November of 1949 at First Baptist Church in Port Angeles. They built their home here on Mercer Island in 1970 after Franklin retired from 26 years service in the USAF. They raised three children, Randall born in Atlanta, GA; Rebecca born in Agana, Guam; and James born at Fort Monmouth, NJ. All graduated from Mercer Island High School, the boys from Washington State University, and Rebecca from Seattle University.

She is survived by a son, Randall, his spouse Joselito of Seattle; daughter Rebecca Schläger of Carnation; and a son James, his wife Lisa, their daughter Madigan, and son Cooper of Manhattan Beach.

Internment services were held at Ocean View Cemetery in Port Angeles Friday, May 13th. Officiant: Rick Dietzman, Associate Pastor, Sequim Community Church.
