MIHS volleyball ends season at districts

Mercer Island High School’s volleyball team qualified for the 3A District 2 tournament after taking third place at the 3A KingCo tourney.

At KingCo, the Islanders defeated Interlake (3-0), lost to Bellevue (3-1) and beat Inglemoor (3-2) to advance.

At districts, No. 6-seeded MI first beat No. 11-seeded Seattle Academy (3-0) on Nov. 13, lost to third-seeded Roosevelt (3-1) on Nov. 13 and lost to second-seeded Bellevue (2-0) on Nov. 15 to conclude its season.

MI finished 9-11 overall.
