The Stroum Jewish Community Center (SJCC) on Mercer Island will present the following Hanukkah events for all ages:
Festival of (Laser) Lights — Dec. 7 • 1 p.m.
This dazzling family show features laser lights, projections and a dance-party holiday soundtrack that brings the miracle of Hanukkah story, music and the science of laser light to life for all ages.
Family Hanukkah Celebration — Dec. 19 • 5:30 p.m.
Celebrate the Festival of Lights and Shabbat at the J’s Family Hanukkah Dinner and Celebration. Enjoy a festive evening with traditional treats, candle making, dreidels and an indoor “Little Jumper” bouncy house for kids 5 and under. The night includes a pizza and salad dinner, a latke and sufganiyot station, and two drink tickets for each adult over 21.

Menorah Making Contest — Now through Dec. 12
Make your own unique menorah and display it in the SJCC lobby. Bring your homemade design to the J by Dec. 12.
Helping Hands Hanukkah Drive — Now through Dec. 5
Donate new gifts and household items to families in need with Jewish Family Service.
Menorahs and Margaritas — Dec. 3 • 7 p.m.
Design a resin and glass menorah and sip on a Hanukkah-themed margarita all while enjoying an evening of Hanukkah crafting and connecting.
Hands on Hanukkah at Redmond Lights — Dec. 6 • 4 p.m.
Stop by the SJCC booth for Hanukkah-themed crafts, holiday fun and a warm community glow.
Hanukkah Light Lab — Dec. 7, 12, 14 and 19 • Noon
An immersive light experience highlights art, science, literacy, numeracy and fun. For infants-kindergarten.
Hanukkah Cookie and Dreidel Decorating — Dec. 14 • 10:30 a.m.
Decorate cookies and ceramic dreidels in this family-friendly Hanukkah event.
SJCC’s Endless Opportunities Intergenerational Hanukkah Celebration — Dec. 16 • 10:30 a.m.
Bringing together older adults and our kindergarten class at the Schwartz Early Childhood School.
