The Mercer Island Girls Basketball Booster Club will host a benefit concert/silent auction this weekend. The event, Creme Tangerine, Beatles for Basketball will be a fun evening filled with the music of The Beatles, plus a silent auction and raffle of some wonderful items.

Creme Tangerine is one of the top Beatles tribute bands in the country and the number one nightclub band in the Pacific Northwest. The group will perform on Mercer Island on Nov. 14, 7 p.m. at the Community Center at Mercer View to help raise support for the MI Girls Basketball Booster Club which supports and provides basketball opportunities and scholarships for MI girls in grades first through high school.

Auction items include resort packages, hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates and even a rolling tool chest and tools for the men in the family.

Tickets are $60 individual or $100 a couple. Eighty dollars of the couple’s price and $50 of the single’s price is tax deductible. Admission includes two complimentary drinks (beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks) and complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
