The Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) announced that the 43rd annual MIVAL Jr. Art Show during Summer Celebration is hung and ready for viewing at the Wells Fargo Bank lobby from June 29 to July 9, during banking hours. Come and see the wonderful art produced by artists in grades K-12.

Awards and cash prizes will be presented to young artists at 1 p.m. on July 8 in the bank lobby.

All artists from kindergarten through high school were invited to submit their two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork, including drawing, painting, sculpture and photography.

MIVAL Jr., MIVAL’s new youth outreach program, recently exhibited its first and very successful show for middle and high school students at the Lighthouse Gallery at Covenant Shores. Providing youth opportunities to display their art is one of the key missions of MIVAL Jr.
