Mercer Island High School’s Education Coalition for Asian American Representation (ECAAR) Club held its third annual Night Market on March 2 in the school commons.

The Taiwanese-inspired market included booths, food vendors, boba tea, cultural performances and other activities that reflect and celebrate Asian American culture. More than 300 people attended the event.

MI senior and ECAAR co-president Cece Wang said on the school’s website that the market’s purpose is to “educate the community about Asian culture, but in a fun and interactive way. Seeing the happy faces that leave the Night Market each year is what motivates us to keep doing it each year.”
