Bill and Renee Christenson, of Mercer Island, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jeff, to Christine Culkin, daughter of Brad and Laura Culkin, of Danville, Calif.

The future groom is a 2006 graduate of Mercer Island High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Washington in 2010. He was a member of Chi Psi fraternity and is currently working on his Master in Business Administration from Seattle University. He is employed at Amazon in Seattle.

The future bride graduated from Monte Vista High School, Danville, Calif., in 2006. She moved to Washington and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington. Ms. Culkin was in the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She is currently employed at Gilead Sciences in Seattle.

The couple met during their freshman year and the rest is history. Their sorority and fraternity were across the street from each other.

The couple, both residents of Seattle, will marry in June at the Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Wash.
