Thomas Hughes and Lindsay Christiansen announced their engagement on Aug. 26, 2009. Mr. Hughes is the son of Peggy and Henry Hughes, of Mercer Island, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Washington. He is currently employed at the Larkspur Landing in Renton. Ms. Christiansen is the daughter of Rhonda and Scott Kidwell, of Des Moines, Wash., and works in sales at the Larkspur Landing in Renton. The future bride and groom have not yet set a date for the wedding.
