Mercer Islanders can now enroll in Solarize Eastside, a limited-time group-purchasing program where they can receive discounted prices, vetted local installers and quality made-in-Washington equipment. Locals can sign up before July 4 for a free home assessment at SolarizeEastside.org.

“Solar energy has become very popular in the last few years due to its economic and environmental benefits. But it can also feel like a daunting process — from perceived costs to technical details, to figuring out which installers to choose,” reads a city press release.

To address these challenges and to support homeowners, the cities of Mercer Island, Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond and Sammamish are sponsoring the program for residents of all these cities.
