Former Mercer Island resident Joel McHale celebrated in Glee style last weekend on the Emmy’s, dancing with various members of the Fox television hit.

McHale, whose own show, “Community,” on NBC, was not nominated for an award, but he still found a way to celebrate the night that honors the best in television.

Earlier in the summer, McHale and Sofia Vergara hosted the announcements of the Emmy nominations. He also appeared as the driver of a new van full of various celebrities in several commercials that aired throughout the show.

Community will premier its second season on NBC on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 8 p.m.
