John L. Scott, CEO and chairman, J. Lennox Scott is pleased to announce Cris Nelson and Kathy Estey as interim co-branch managers for John L. Scott Real Estate’s Mercer Island office. Cris Nelson and Kathy Estey will oversee this key Eastside office while John L. Scott Real Estate searches for permanent, new management.

The interim management team comes to the Mercer Island office with a lifetime of real estate and management experience. Currently the co-managers also oversee the John L. Scott Bellevue Main office. The addition of the Mercer Island office during this transition period is a natural extension from the Bellevue office for the Nelson and Estey team. Many of the real estate professionals in both offices work with similar clientele.

“We are very familiar with the specific needs of the Mercer Island brokers. They are a dynamic group that focuses on quality in customer service,” stated Nelson.

“The Mercer Island John L. Scott brokers are some of the best in the industry,” added Estey. “They are deeply committed to doing an exceptional job from beginning to end.”

Cris Nelson began her real estate career 24 years ago. She was a very successful agent and eventually moved into assistant management for Windermere. In 2009, John L. Scott offered Nelson a full time management position to oversee the daily operations of the Bellevue Main office. Currently, Nelson is also a director for the Seattle-King County Association of REALTORS® and sits on the Forms Committee for the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

Kathy Estey started her real estate career in 1976. She was a top-producing agent with John L Scott until 1987 when she moved into management and leadership roles. Estey has served on the boards of directors for the Seattle-King County Association of REALTORS, the Washington Association of REALTORS and Northwest Multiple Listing Service. In 1990, she was awarded the REALTOR Achievement Award. Estey was also chairman of the board of NWMLS in 1997.

The John L. Scott Mercer Island office has been serving the specific needs of the island community for many decades. The office is open seven days a week; and currently has over 30 sales professionals to assist homebuyers and sellers with all of their real estate needs.
