The City of Mercer Island removed trees next to the intersection of Avalon Drive and East Mercer Way to improve visibility.

Kudos and laurels to the city for wisely removing adjacent vegetation to the south of this Avalon-East Mercer intersection, which for a long time had obscured the southerly sight distance view of stop bar traffic at the top of Avalon, previously creating a horrifically dangerous gamble for Avalon traffic turning onto East Mercer Way.
