The Mercer Island girls tennis team hosted Bellevue on Tuesday afternoon in the team’s final home match of the regular season. The Islanders won with a final score of 6-1.

The Mercer Island girls tennis team hosted Bellevue on Tuesday afternoon in the team’s final home match of the regular season. The Islanders won with a final score of 6-1.

Nora Tan won her singles match against Sabrian Tu 6-3, 6-2, while Melanie Lee beat  Karen Park 6-2, 6-2, Carissa Ham beat Corey Cheng 6-1, 6-1. Bellevue’s Annalise Combs beat Mindy Weinberg 6-0, 6-0.

In the doubles matches, Lydia and Gabby Venditti beat Tracy Munk and Lucia Pineda 6-0, 6-0, while Ashley Larson and Erin Crandall beat Danielle Beur and Maddie Gloune 6-2, 6-2. Lark Ruesch and Sarah Kahan beat Anna Floyd and Laine Goudy 6-4, 6-1.

The Islanders will begin the post season with the KingCo tournament, starting May 7 at 10 a.m.
