The Mercer Island girls golf team finished the regular season on Monday, April 29 with a win over Bellevue, earning the team’s sixth straight KingCo crown.

The Mercer Island girls golf team finished the regular season on Monday, April 29 with a win over Bellevue, earning the team’s sixth straight KingCo crown.

The Islanders have not lost a league match since April 2007, making it 64 straight league wins for the team.

Against Bellevue, Molly White and Giovanna Orecchio shot a 45, Jane Peterson hit 46, Emma Young shot 49, as did Whitley Pearson. Madison Pearson finished the match with a 50, while Carsen Harkins hit 51 and Kate Peterson shot 52. Katie Rorem finished the afternoon with a 57 and Hannah Lee hit 64.

The Islanders will take the rest of the week off from matches, preparing for the KingCo tournament on Monday, May 6 at Willows Run Golf Course in Redmond.
