The city of Mercer Island will take part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day with collections from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 30 at the police department/city hall west entrance loading dock at 9611 SE 36th St.

The day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications, according to a press release.
