Mountains Plus Outdoor Gear, which is based on Mercer Island, received a high rank in Inc. Magazine’s annual list of America’s fastest growing private companies, the “Inc. 500|5000.”

Mountains Plus made the magazine’s 500|5000 for the second year in a row with three-year sales growth of 237 percent.

Inc. Magazine ranked Mountains Plus Outdoor Gear (www.mpgear.com) no. 64 in retail, no. 24 in Seattle and no. 1,301 overall on the 2012 Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking.

The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent entrepreneurs. Mountains Plus Outdoor Gear joins Facebook and Yelp among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.
