Ninth straight KingCo title for Mercer Island boys | Prep boys swimming

For the ninth straight year, the Mercer Island boys swimming team brought home the KingCo championship. The Islanders won with a score of 840 points, followed by second-place Newport’s 394.

For the ninth straight year, the Mercer Island boys swimming team brought home the KingCo championship. The Islanders won with a score of 840 points, followed by second-place Newport’s 394. Despite the team win, no swimmers from Mercer Island won an individual title.

The Islanders will compete this Saturday in the SeaKing district competition at Mary Wayte Pool. The finals on Saturday begin with swimming warm-ups at 4 p.m., and the finals begin at 5:15 p.m.

The district diving competition will be held on Feb. 11 at the Juanita High School pool. The diving meet begins at 10:30 a.m.
