Mercer Island’s Youth and Family Services and Parks and Recreation departments are hosting the evidence-based Stay Active & Independent for Life (SAIL) senior fitness program developed by the Washington State Department of Health.
Presently, there is one class running from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the community and events center. Due to continued positive response to the class, they will add a second class from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting Aug. 18 at the center.
There’s a drop-in fee of $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents; punch passes are available, which reduce the fee per class, for center activities.
