Due to multiple downed trees and power lines, the city of Mercer Island reported at 10 a.m. this morning that North Mercer Way is closed between Shorewood Drive and Fortuna Drive and a section of the Island’s north end is without power. The outage is marked in pink on the attached Puget Sound Energy (PSE) map. The city, which has placed road closure signs in the area and notified PSE, asks residents to take alternative routes and avoid the area.
