May 6

Arrest: Officers arrested a suspected shoplifter and their associate at the park and ride in the 3000 block of 78th Avenue Southeast. The associate was arrested on an unrelated felony warrant.

Assault: A subject in the 2600 block of 76th Avenue Southeast received minor injuries after being punched in the head by a stranger while walking on the sidewalk.

May 4

Fraud: A resident in the 2900 block of 78th Avenue Southeast reported that a scammer impersonated an Amazon employee to gain remote access to the resident’s computer and make fraudulent charges.

Arrest: After stopping a motorcyclist in the 7400 block of Southeast 24th Street, officers arrested the subject for driving the stolen cycle.

May 3

Assault: A man was allegedly jumped upon and choked by a suspect in the 2800 block of 78th Avenue Southeast.

Fraud: Someone opened numerous credit cards in the name of a resident in the 8400 block of Southeast 61st Street.

May 2

Fraud: A fraud suspect used the social security number of a resident in the 6300 block of Southeast 24th Street to open multiple bogus credit cards in the victim’s name.

Attempted theft: A resident of the 6000 block of Southeast 22nd Street reported damage to their vehicle following an attempted catalytic-converter theft.

Complaint calls: Officers fielded numerous 911 calls from a known subject who makes various non-emergency complaints.
