Successful Jazz for Tiny Homes fundraiser

Members of the Mercer Island United Methodist Church raised $9,000 at its Jazz for Tiny Homes student-run concert to help the homeless on Aug. 22 at the church. The check was presented to Sound Foundations NW on Aug. 24. Pictured, in part, are: from second left to right, Becky Dudley, Carol Mariano, Jeff Maners and John Go. About 100 people attended the fundraising event, which featured Mercer Island High School students performing jazz music and an Eastside-based indie rock band unleashing its tunes in the Fellowship Hall.
