Barbara Ann Lindgren (nee Jones), 98, of Mercer Island died peacefully at home on October 15, 2019; she is predeceased by her late husband, Randall Lindgren. Barbara was born in Seattle, Washington on October 7, 1921. While growing up, she often visited her grandparents on Mercer Island, taking the ferry across Lake Washington from Seattle before there was a bridge. She became a full-time island resident in 1948 with her husband. In 1975, she and her family moved into the home her grandparents built.

Barbara worked as a secretary in Seattle. As a young woman, she volunteered at the USO during WWII where she met her future husband, Randall. They married in 1947 and had three children together. She was a homemaker, loved the summer and swimming and boating with her family on Lake Washington. She was known for her love of family and friends and her sense of humor. She cooked traditional Christmas Swedish recipes handed down by her mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son Craig and his wife Tara, son Brian, daughter Randi and her husband Joe, grandson John and his wife Kara and their two children, grandson Michael, and other family members and friends.

A remembrance for family and friends will take place at her home.
