Burton E. Johnson was born October 27, 1929 in Wessington, South Dakota to John and Helen Johnson.

Burton Johnson passed away September 27, 2014 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington surrounded by his family.

In 1936 he, his siblings, and Mother and Dad moved to Woodstock, Illinois where he attended High School. Burton attended Culver Stockton College in Canton Missouri, where he met his wife Jacqueline.

Burt was a veteran who served 2 years in the Korean War and arrived home on Valentine’s Day in 1953.

Burt is survived by Jackie his loving wife of 63 years, his children Clifford (Teri), Kathleen Kroon (Paul), and Burton J. (Debbie) his grandchildren Kyle (Megan), Michael Kroon, Tony, Jenny Lin (Denny), Breanne, Daniel, and

a great-grandchild Amelia Lin.

Burt loved his work as a Contractor and never considered retirement. He joined his son B.J. at Corner Stone Construction in the past years.

A Memorial took place on October 2, 2014 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church where his family were active members for 54 years. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 4400 86th Ave. S.E., Mercer Island, Washington 98040.
