A public memorial service for Harry Wappler, the longtime KIRO-TV weatherman, will be held on Thursday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church starting at 2 p.m. The church is located at 4400 86th Ave. S.E.

Wappler died on April 21 after suffering a stroke from complications of Crohn’s disease. He was 73.

The service will include moments from Wappler’s 30-year career.
