Patricia M. Haagen of Mercer Island died March 4, 2011. She was born on October 18, 1926, in Chicago. At the end of WWII she traveled to Alaska, where she met and married James J. Haagen. The family moved to Mercer Island at the end of 1962. Over the past five years, they have spent the winter in Palm Desert, Calif. Mrs. Haagen is survived by her husband, James, and son, Joseph. No services are planned.
